Manna

Manna, mentioned in the Bible, was the miraculous food that God provided to the Israelites during their time in the wilderness. In Exodus 16:14-15 (KJV), it is described as a “small round thing…like coriander seed” that appeared on the ground each morning for the people to gather and eat. The name “manna” itself comes from the question asked by the Israelites when they first saw it, meaning “What is it?” This food sustained them throughout their journey, showing God’s faithfulness and provision even in desolate places. However, in Exodus 16:20 (KJV), God commanded them not to hoard or save any manna for the next day except on Sabbath days. This emphasizes trust and dependence on God’s daily provision. Manna serves as a powerful reminder of God’s care for His people and teaches us to rely on Him completely for our needs.
